Why You Need a Lease-End Inspection

As you near lease end, we’re here to make your transition to a new vehicle simple and stress-free. If you plan on returning your vehicle, one way to stay ahead of the curve is by scheduling a complimentary pre-return inspection — a smart step that puts you in control of your next move. It’s optional, but it can be beneficial to get ahead of any repairs that may need to be addressed before returning the vehicle. Here are the ways you'll benefit from doing so:

  1. Complimentary Service
GM Financial uses a third-party service, OPENLANE Inspections, to provide a pre-return inspection. It wont cost you anything, and this service provides a detailed condition report of your vehicle, helping you avoid surprises at lease end.
  2. Peace of mind
The inspection will help identify excess mileage and any excess wear you could be charged for at the end of your lease. Whether you choose to make repairs or budget for additional expenses, you’ll feel confident and prepared for the road ahead.
  3. Convenient scheduling
Scheduling your pre-return inspection is easy and convienent. Choose a time and place that works for you — whether it's at home, at work or at the dealership. Once you've located your VIN and GM Financial account number, schedule one of the following ways:
